This time, we will take a different route, and then meet where we have left off in Part 1. Last time, we passed the marina and children's playground on the right, then crossed the road on the left. This time we will continue straight ahead, passing the marina on the right and then the roundabout on the left.
If you walk all around the pool, you will enjoy beautiful views, which are especially nice at sunset. Right behind the pool by the water, you will find benches, with a built-in wall, protecting you from wind. This is a lovely place to sit, relax, eat, read.., all to the sounds of seagulls. On the other side, you may see some sport activities such as flying powered kites.
The pool itself, is an attraction in the area, with waves, underwater sounds and temperature of 30°C.
Standing on Av. Eng. Eduardo Arantes e Oliveira, in front of the tourist office, walk around and into R. 19 de Agosto, then turn right into R. Ten. Valadim.
Here you will find few simple, yet beautiful Portuguese homes, with colourful flowers and trees. Walk in between blue and pink homes, on a narrow cobblestone street.
Once you pass the lightly coloured houses, turn right into Largo Cmte. Carlos de Oliveira Martins. Enjoy more coloured facades, until you reach the fountain square.
We have now reached the end of our photo walk. Thank you for reading this far and stay tuned for more from Portugal, before we move on to Spain in the New Year. :)
