I will always feel at home in Cap Ferrat

..or shall I say Nice, where I lived for about 1.5 years? The fact is, that Nice will always be home, but it was actually Cap Ferrat, a once small fishing village, that has stolen my heart. It was here when, one day sitting with my husband and our first baby on the way, by the beach called Paloma, it all felt like a dream.

Our overnight stop in Udine, Italy

Our journey to Poland by train continued.. We travelled with children and had to stop every 2.5 hours or so, which did not bother us, as we love travelling and discovering new places along the way. I could easily do that the whole summer, getting off the train every few hours and staying overnight for a few days, discovering new beautiful Mediterranean towns. To my readers in the US - remember, Europe is much, much smaller so few hours on a train gets you very far.

Venice, Italy - the City of Love, the Queen of the Adriatic

We got up early in the morning and went down to the organic supermarket NaturaSì to prepare a healthy little lunch for our family for the Venezia trip. We knew, we did not want to rely on street food.

Where to stay in Venice - Treviso, Italy

One of my little dreams, was to some day stay in a lovely hotel right in Venezia, with a window overlooking a busy little street with lovely bridges. This past summer, during our little 'Le Grand Tour' trip, we were going to visit Venezia so I thought my little dream was about to come true. As soon as I started looking for accommodation, I realised your hard earned buck, pound or euro ;) doesn't come very far here.

Corte San Mattia Agriturismo, Verona, Italy

Usually very organised, this time we were booking our accommodation in Verona, at the very last minute. Obviously many of the lovely hotels were booked out but as always I was remaining optimistic. As soon as I had found this little charming place I felt this was where I wanted me and my family to stay.

Casa di Gulietta, Romeo & Juliet, Verona, Italy

The story of two young lovers from rival families is bringing annual pilgrimage of people of all ages and continents, to this most famous, romantic address in Italy. Casa di Gulietta, located at Via Cappello 23 in Verona and the story written by Luigi da Porto of Vicenza in the 1520s, has inspired many artists, dramas, films, operas and ballets.

Bellissima Verona, Italy

Yes, I've seen the 'Letters to Juliet' movie before visiting the area, but I have to admit that the Verona charm is very much there. This must be one of the most picturesque Italian towns I have ever been to.
