As far as accommodation go, living in Portugal is comfortable. The homes are big and spacious, the gardens are quite small but flowers, fruit trees and vegetables are lovingly planted, garden ornaments add charm and enhance entrances.
The apartment we rented was over 100 sqm and split over 2 floors. It was located 300 meters from the beach and about 3km from the center of Esposende, to which we either walked or cycled.
I like Portuguese quality - the three floor building was made to good standards. It was comfortable both in summer and winter, meaning it kept us cool in the summer, and we hardly used any heating in winter, which is quite unusual for Portugal. So if you like your heating in winter - rent new, or one with heating already installed.
Today I would like to show you some beautiful Portuguese homes and surroundings. I loved the flowers, especially bougainvillea, flowers in pots, veggie gardens and cute cats. Portuguese homes are very clean, people living there are very friendly and hospitable.
All images below were taken, throughout the year, in and around Esposende. As you can imagine the style depends on weather conditions, therefore varies between the north and the south of Portugal.
