Today was going to be our first full day in Verona. Once again, we took the mini bus down to the city. The temperature was already pretty high, right from the early hours of the day. The taxi parked in front of the reception at Corte San Mattia. We have stepped out of the car in awe, surrounded by lush greenery, with grapes hanging down from above. We were welcomed by the scent of poplar trees and cosy, atmospheric sound of cicadas.
