What is this charming little town in the Haute-Marne department in the north-eastern France? Keep on reading to find out!
Off we went through the French countryside, passing sunflower fields, little towns and villages. Most of the fields were dried up due to the summer's heat. We stopped the car to check them out and suddenly, I noticed one gorgeous sunflower, completely unaware of it's surroundings, it was just there, radiating its own joy and happiness.
'Be the strongest, tallest, brightest bloom in the field' my love!
We started driving again. I really wanted to stop in one particular village, one I discovered weeks ago, when browsing the towns on Google Maps - it was called Joinville.
With just over 3 thousand inhabitants the town was really small and with the River Marne and Canal Entre Champagne et Bourgogne running through the town centre very charming.
Once there, you can walk along the canal and enjoy the view of colourful houses with shutters, many with small boats moored by their side.
